Dahlia Tuber Sale Terms & Conditions
We’re so excited to share our homegrown dahlias with you again this season! Every tuber we sell has been lovingly grown, harvested, divided, and stored here on our small family farm. Every photo is taken of our own dahlias. Please take a moment to review the details below before purchasing to help ensure the best experience.
What You’ll Receive
We sell individual tubers (not clumps), each with at least one visible eye.
Shipping
We go to great lengths to ensure your tubers arrive in pristine condition. Each order is securely packed by hand in pine shavings and includes shipping insurance. Our ability to ship is weather-dependent — we’ll ship when temperatures are safely above freezing to protect your tubers. We typically begin shipping dahlia tubers in mid-April.
Shipping Rates:
- 1–6 tubers: $15
- 7–20 tubers: $20
- 21+ tubers: $30
Please note:
- We are able to combine shipping for multiple orders placed by April 10. For all orders placed after your initial order, please use the code "COMBINE" at checkout for a $10 shipping discount on each subsequent order.
- If a shipping issue arises once your package has left the farm, please contact the shipping carrier.
Local Pickup
We’re happy to offer free local pickup for your dahlia tuber order!
If you’d like to skip shipping, our main day for local pickup will be at our on-farm tuber sale on Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
At checkout, simply choose Local Pickup as your delivery method. You won’t be charged for shipping, and your order will be packed and ready for you to be picked up on the day of the sale.
If something comes up and you're unable to pick up your order, or if you place an order after April 17, we can arrange another time for local pickup, or you can opt for us to ship it.
Our Guarantee
We want you to love your dahlias as much as we do. We guarantee that:
- You’ll receive a tuber true to the variety you ordered
- Each tuber will have a visible eye
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives and contact us within 5 days if anything isn’t right. After that window, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Dahlia Virus
Like many small farms, we work tirelessly to grow healthy, disease free plants, but dahlia viruses are common in the industry and often not detectable without cost prohibitive testing. According to the American Dahlia Society, about 87% of healthy, symptom-free plants carry at least one dormant virus. We don’t offer refunds for virus-related concerns, but we grow everything with great care and cull any suspicious looking plants.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will my order ship?
We begin shipping dahlia tubers in mid-April. Our ability to ship depends on the weather — we’ll only ship when temperatures are safely above freezing to protect your tubers. Every order is carefully packed by hand and includes shipping insurance.
Can I combine multiple orders into one shipment?
Yes! We are able to combine shipping for multiple orders placed by April 10. For all orders placed after your initial order, please use the code "COMBINE" at checkout for a $10 shipping discount on each subsequent order.
How do I pick up my order locally?
You can select Local Pickup at checkout (no shipping will be charged!). Then, stop by our on-farm tuber sale on Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM to pick up your order. This is the only local pickup opportunity this season. If you can’t make it, we’ll invoice you for shipping and send your order afterward.
What if my tuber doesn’t have an eye?
All of our tubers are inspected before shipping and will have at least one viable eye. It is possible for an eye to break off during the shipping process. If this happens, don't worry! A new sprout will develop soon to replace it. If you’re unsure, give it a little time—and of course, reach out if you have concerns.
What if something goes wrong with my order?
Please inspect your tubers as soon as they arrive. If anything seems off, just email us within 5 days and we’ll do our best to make it right. After 5 days, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges.
